The admission was a dramatic development in Trump’s attempts to promote hydroxychloroquine as a treatment for coronavirus, which began earlier in the outbreak and has been met with resistance from medical professionals.

However given the amount of “Truthful Hyberboles” that Trump creates, a number of people are doubtful that it is true. And many are questioning the reason why he has decided to come out with this revelation at this time.

There have been several studies that show that Hydroxychloroquine does not fight the COVID-19 virus. The FDA and the Health Institutes of Medicine have issued warnings about using the drug for coronavirus patients.

Hydroxychloroquine, sold under the brand name Plaquenil among others, is a medication used to prevent and treat malaria in areas where malaria remains sensitive to chloroquine. Other uses include treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and porphyria cutanea tarda.
