1 dead and 1 injured after Canadian Forces Snowbirds jet crashes in Kamloops B.C.
Sunday’s crash occurred the same day the Snowbirds were scheduled to complete a flyover of the Okanagan as part of Operation Inspiration, a salute to Canadians and front-line workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.
CTV News has confirmed that Capt. Jennifer Casey has been identified as the Snowbirds team member killed in the crash.
The Snowbirds have been performing at air shows across Canada and the US for decades and are considered a key tool for raising awareness about — and recruiting for — the air force.
